Alberto Estébanez Rodríguez holds a degree in Dance Pedagogy, is a teacher, dancer and choreographer. He also works as a producer, artistic advisor, project and resource manager for dance. He is director of the International Choreography Competition Burgos & New York, of the International Youth Meeting 'BurgoSalSon', of the first Authorized Dance Center of Castilla y León since 1997 and director and choreographer of Ballet Contemporáneo de Burgos SL since 1992 (first dance company of Castilla y León). The work of Estébanez in his more than 30 years of professional activity takes shape when in 2001 he takes on the challenge of collaborating artistically with the State University of the Arts in New York (SUNY Purchase) in which he launched the first intercontinental production carried out in Spain that materialized in the Ballet 'Guernica' where a total of 40 American and Spanish dancers participated. From that moment and with the experience accumulated in years of work, Estébanez leads his company of Performing Arts 'CIDANZ Producciones' and the conglomerate of business projects 'Grupo Ciudaddeladanza' to face projects that today are a reality not only for Burgos but for the Spanish State. In all these projects the Municipal Institute of Culture of the City of Burgos, the Junta de Castilla y León and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Education of Spain (INAEM) have been present as main allies.
